👍 Wear Watch Correctly
For Right-Handed Golfers:
- ✓ Wear watch on LEFT wrist (lead wrist)
- ✓ Position watch slightly higher on your wrist if wearing a golf glove
- ✓ Ensure the watch band is snug but comfortable - not too loose!
💡 Why higher on wrist? If your golf glove touches the watch, it can accidentally press the crown or screen. Move the watch 1-2 inches above your glove for best results.
🚫 Left-Handed Golfers: Support for left-handed swings is coming soon! For now, the app is optimized for right-handed golfers only.
💧 Use Water Lock Feature (Optional)
Water Lock prevents accidental taps during your round, especially useful in rainy conditions or if you tend to bump your watch.
How to Enable Water Lock:
- 1. Open WipeGolf on your Apple Watch
- 2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center
- 3. Tap the water drop icon 💧
- 4. Screen will show "LOCKED" - your screen is now protected!
How to Disable Water Lock:
- 1. Turn the Digital Crown continuously
- 2. Keep turning until you hear a series of beeps and feel vibrations
- 3. Screen unlocks and you can use your watch normally
✅ Pro Tip: Enable Water Lock before starting your round to prevent accidental crown presses during your backswing!

Practice swings are tracked too! Great for warming up and seeing your consistency.
🌧️ Weather Proof
Apple Watch is water-resistant. Play in any weather - use Water Lock in rain.

🔧 Common Issues
Swings not being detected?
• Make sure the watch is snug on your wrist

• Try a full-speed practice swing to calibrate
Data not syncing to iPhone?
• Make sure both devices are connected (Bluetooth enabled)
• Open WipeGolf on iPhone to trigger sync
• Check that you're logged in on both devices
• Try force-closing and reopening the app
Inaccurate swing speed readings?
• Ensure watch band is tight enough (shouldn't slide around)

• Make sure you're taking full-speed swings
• Calibrate by doing 3-5 practice swings at start
Battery draining quickly?
• Normal: App uses motion sensors continuously during sessions
• Close other background apps on your watch
• Lower screen brightness if needed
• Typical usage: 15-20% battery for 18 holes
